The doctrine of Christ is strange to the worldly mind. Love your enemies. Do good to them that use you. Turn your other cheek.  If we act in such a manner, we are acting like Him who is the unproud God…the unconceited God. 

Deem me worthy Oh Lord to taste the delight of repentance whereby the soul is separated from sin.
