The power of repentance
Sermon by Metropolitan Demetrius on the Sunday of Saint Mary of Egypt
Oftentimes people have to fall into a sinful way of life in order to realize how wretched, how filthy, how fleeting, how horrible the sinful way of life is. We have now the example of Saint Mary of Egypt, of one who truly repented.
It is never too late. Let us repent. Let us ask the Mother of God as did Saint Mary of Egypt to help us in this process of repentance and purification.
