As we are getting settled in, it is not only Byzantine chant and the pounding of the semantron that breaks the silence, but the sounds of saws and jack hammers.
…and the construction has begun.
What was once a racquetball court is now being used as a church. From the architectural renderings (using a little imagination), one can see how the space will be completely transformed.
The iconostasis is being carved in Romania. Panel icons will be painted by our brethren and the wall frescoes will be painted by iconographers from Greece.
