Father Benedict, in the world Branko Miovski, was born on August 15/28,1989. Raised in Skopje, FYROM, he started leading an active church life at the age of 14. In 2014, after graduating from the seminary of “St. Clement of Ohrid” in Skopje, he entered the monastery of St. Theodore the Studite, in Athikia, Greece (under His Beatitude, Archbishop Kallinikos of the Genuine Orthodox Church). A year after becoming a novice, he was tonsured a rassophore monk and then ordained into the diaconate by Archbishop Kallinikos on the feast of Great Martyr George. In 2017, with the blessing of Archbishop Kallinikos, he transferred to the United States and joined the Saint John of San Francisco Orthodox Monastery. He was ordained to the priesthood by His Eminence, Metropolitan Demetrius of America on November 25/December 8, 2018.
