Watch Your Speed
Please obey the speed limit
When visiting the monastery, we ask that you obey the speed limit signs (10 mph) posted on the private driveway (going up the hill AND going down the hill).
In the recent past, there was a severe accident that occurred on the driveway because of speeding. The car was totaled, but thank God the occupants were unharmed (except for minor bruises). It could have been much worse. In fact, one of our neighbors was standing downhill from the accident (about 30 feet away), holding her young daughter…while her older toddler son was playing in the their yard. Like I said, it could have been a lot worse.
